The GCSE ICT Companion 6 is an interactive tuition package designed to help students learn the information they need to know to pass a GCSE ICT examination and produce coursework. It is suitable for both full and short course GCSEs. Many institutions also use the ICT Companion to help teach Applied GCSE ICT, GNVQs and as an introduction to A Level Computing and ICT courses. It can be used as a complete textbook replacement or an invaluable additional resource. Under the licence agreement students can install the GCSE ICT Companion 6 at home as well as using it in school or college.
The GCSE ICT Companion 6 includes 389 pages of information covering 50 key topics. Accompanying each topic there is a concise revision summary. An interactive quiz and worksheets that can be completed on paper or online are used for assessment. Other key features include a search engine and glossary defining nearly 800 terms.
Brand new to this release for September 2006 are automated monitoring of student reading, exam tips, external web links, a new look quiz and many other enhancements. In addition the articles have been revised to improve coverage of the latest subject specifications available at the end of August 2006.
